Prior to joining KBRO to establish the firm’s Fixed Income group, Vernon Gatling was responsible for investment grade debt origination, including corporate, agency, preferred and municipal products at Toussaint Capital Partners, LLC. He was a Founder and Partner, and played a pivotal role in raising over $250 billion in client transactions over the past 5 years. Mr. Gatling was the CCO and COO with primary responsibility for the firm’s compliance and operational functions. He was also the firm’s Municipal Principal.

Prior to Toussaint, Mr. Gatling was Vice President of Equity Research at Blaylock & Partners and was responsible for initiating and maintaining coverage in the packaged foods sector. He constructed and maintained financial models on companies in various industries including: packaged foods, radio, wireless telecom and airfreight/logistics. Mr. Gatling was instrumental in developing strategies to align the efforts of equity sales/trading, investment banking and the research departments. Prior to Equity Research, he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking practice of Blaylock & Partners where he focused on debt and equity origination. In this capacity, he managed the analyst pool and the resources delegated to each project. He focused on analyzing and structuring deals for Fortune 500 companies and managed the personnel growth of the group. Previously, he was Executive Sales Director of P.C. Mortgage Company, where he managed a group of 6 loan officers and 8 processors with average monthly revenues of $250,000 during his tenure.

Mr. Gatling earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently holds Series 7, 24, 53 and 63 licenses.
