Robert Farmer brings over 17 years of extensive capital markets experience including product origination, distribution, trading and investment management. Most recently, Mr. Farmer was the First Vice President, New England Region Trust & Investment Services, responsible for all marketing and sales of Amalgamated Bank’s Trust and Investment services in that area.

Prior to joining Amalgamated Bank, he was a senior member of the investment management team, focusing on credit products, and involved all aspects of the investment process for EagleRock Capital Management, a New York based hedge fund. Additionally, Mr. Farmer was a Managing Director and Founding Member with Advent Capital Management, where he was responsible for portfolio management, trading and marketing of high yield and convertible hedge fund strategies. He began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he was a Vice President in the Institutional Equities division. Immediately after earning his undergraduate degree, Mr. Farmer was an Associate Consultant with Bain & Company where he focused on developing and delivering value-added operating efficiencies and improvements for industrial and financial service clients.

Mr. Farmer is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Morehouse College, earned a Managerial Economics Certificate at The London School of Economics and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
