Jeff joined Kaufman Bros. in January 2010 as a Senior Equity Analyst with more than 10 years of relevant industry research experience with a focus on alternative energy and green technology.

Prior to joining Kaufman Bros., Jeff was a senior buy-side analyst/portfolio manager investing in alternative energy companies globally for Alliance Bernstein Growth Equities. As a sell-side analyst, Jeff covered the Clean Tech space at Jefferies and Co. and was one of sector’s first dedicated analysts. Jeff was recognized by The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street Analysts Survey” for his Alternative Energy coverage in 2006. He also covered the Large-Cap Industrial sector as a Senior Analyst at Merrill Lynch. Previously, Jeff worked as a lead process improvement engineer at General Electric.

Jeff holds a BS in Systems Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. During his four years with the US Army, Jeff helped to successfully conduct peacekeeping operations in Bosnia as the Brigade headquarters executive officer. Jeff has a MBA in Finance from Indiana University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
